DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Dental Assistant, you will work with experienced staff to provide essential dental services to our inmate population. You will assist the dentist during chair-side examinations using four-handed dental assisting techniques, manage patient flow, maintain dental records, and perform dental laboratory procedures. You will also expose, process, label, and evaluate radiographic images. This position requires compassion and professionalism as you will play a crucial role that ensures the oral health of our inmates and contributes to the overall functioning of the dental office. In addition, you will prepare patients and clinical areas for procedures, explain preventative care and post-procedural care instructions to patients, and review documentation for dental referrals and prescriptions.
