American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR experience, BLS / ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in a combo interventional radiology / cardiology / vascular / EP lab with approximately 80% interventional radiology casesAdult and geriatric patient populationProcedures include device implants (PPM, ICD) and urgent / emergent IR and cardiology interventionsDay shifts, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM)Weekday call required twice per week for two weeks each month, plus one weekend call per monthNo call required the week after weekend callCallback time for STEMIs is 30 minutes; IR callback time varies by procedureTeam consists of three staff, including one RN, during call shiftsNo floating requiredEvery third weekend requiredUnit orientation is 40–80 hoursUses GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR / IVUS, Canon and GE labs, and other advanced IR / cardiology equipmentEPIC charting experience preferredAssist provider with diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including scrubbing and circulatingMedication administration is performed only by RNsScrubs are provided40 to 80 hours of orientation provided, with direct start on the unit Mondays until completion of Dimensions trainingNo RTO is allowed after booking; up to 7 days of RTO may be approved if not on holidays, no time off permitted during the first weekCandidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no holiday RTO acceptedFormer employees of specified health systems must have a 12-month gap before consideration, and employment history will be reviewed prior to offerCandidates with an address under 50 miles are considered local and compensated at a lower rateTravel pairs permitted only if working in different unitsModules required before start and annually, with hours determined by specialtyFirst-time travelers considered\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years recent interventional radiology experienceBLS and ACLS certifications requiredARRT or RCIS required; ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, or RCIS with med experience preferredAbility to scrub, circulate, and use telemetry in an IR / Cath Lab settingExperience with EKG lead placement preferredNC or Compact License required if applicable\n Benefits\n
