Lead Network Engineer

Job Title : Lead Consulted, Network Engineer

Location : Richmond, VA (Onsite)

Duration : 3-6 months (Contract-to-Hire)

Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Consulted, Network Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, telecom management, and security, with a focus on Cisco technologies, Meraki Wireless, Palo Alto Firewalls, SDWAN, and cloud networking (Azure). This role requires hands-on experience, leadership in network operations, and the ability to manage both technology and vendor relationships in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities :

• Manage all telecommunications, network, and internet activities
• Ensure the network / telecom group meets and exceeds customer SLAs
• Proactively monitor and manage network health
• Maintain comprehensive system and network documentation
• Oversee telecom equipment / service procurement and inventory
• Manage telecom supplier relationships
• Collaborate with IT peers and cross-functional teams
• Analyze network traffic, bandwidth usage, and backbone sizing
• Administer and support SDWAN infrastructure
• Work with third-party vendors for project delivery and support
• Create / maintain network diagrams (Visio or similar)
