Salary Range : $55,000-$70,000

We're seeking a Payroll Specialist who is ready to take ownership of payroll operations and play a key role in supporting HR initiatives across the company. The Payroll Specialist will handle all aspects of payroll processing-from data entry and compliance to reporting and employee communication-ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness every step of the way.

As the Payroll Specialist , you'll work closely with HR and Accounting to maintain personnel records, support onboarding and benefits enrollment, and help ensure smooth coordination of policies, procedures, and compliance efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys a mix of payroll processing, employee support, and administrative HR work in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Accurately process and maintain all employee payroll data, including rates, deductions, bonuses, and paid time off.

Ensure proper handling of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and contributions.

Provide reports to Accounting for correct general ledger recording.

Address and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries with professionalism and discretion.

Assist with onboarding, new hire documentation, and benefit enrollment for newly eligible employees.

Maintain employee files and update HR systems, including Paylocity, with attendance and event data.

Support annual open enrollment, workers' compensation claims, and OSHA recordkeeping.

Contribute to HR initiatives such as policy updates, employee handbooks, and company event coordination.

Help ensure payroll practices comply with all government regulations and internal standards.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or at least 5 years of payroll processing experience.

Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a diverse workforce.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Paylocity experience preferred.

Ability to work independently and occasionally beyond regular business hours as needed.
