The Sr. Manager, FP&A is a highly visible, operationally focused finance leadership role that combines strategic insight with hands-on execution. The position requires deep business acumen within the manufacturing environment along with exceptional communication skills and ability to translate data into actionable strategy.

The role is responsible for delivering robust financial analytics and business intelligence to drive profitable growth and operational efficiency. Partnering closely with Group Finance, Senior Leadership, and functional heads, this position oversees all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, with a strong emphasis on product and project profitability. Success in this role demands high energy, decisive action, and precision in data-driven decision-making within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Lead monthly rolling forecasts, annual budgeting, and long-range strategic planning processes, including working capital and CapEx planning, to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Leverage automated financial tools to develop and maintain dynamic models that deliver actionable insights on business profitability and resource optimization
  • Drive cross-functional, bi-weekly profitability reviews to analyze raw material consumption, labor utilization, cost allocation, and other key margin drivers, enabling data-driven decision-making
  • Perform comprehensive monthly variance analysis to interpret financial results, identify emerging trends and operational risks, and partner with the Business Transformation Office to implement corrective and performance-enhancing actions

Business Partnership and Strategic Support

  • Act as a strategic business partner to Operations and Product Management office leaders, providing actionable financial insights to improve performance, drive efficiencies, and manage costs
  • Collaborate with Program Management teams to create and refine pricing models for new and existing client projects
  • Evaluate potential investments in new technologies, equipment, or facility expansions through robust financial modeling
  • Reporting and Systems Management

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly executive-level financial reports and the Monthly Business Review (MBR) package for the site, ensuring accuracy, actionable insight, and alignment with corporate objectives
  • Manage and optimize financial planning systems (e.g., Tagetik) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the Finance function to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Team leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A Team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Encourage the team to connect financial results with operational drivers, translating financial data into business strategy for non-finance stakeholders
  • LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES

    Two direct reports. No direct budgeting responsibilities.

    Supervisory responsibilities include daily leadership of team, training, and development; interviewing and hiring; managing time and attendance records; performance appraisals; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving daily problems and conflicts.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a 4-year college or university and 5 years of related experience. (Manufacturing experience is preferred).

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    CMA, preferred but not required.

    Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
