Galvanized Metal Check-in is responsible for verifying the quantity and integrity of received metal goods, labeling each component, and updating the inventory system prior to moving items to assigned warehouse locations.
LOCATION : Fully Onsite - 3995 Pine Ln SE, Bessemer, AL 35022
COMPENSATION
- Starting Hourly Rate : $18.00 per hour
- Weekly Production Bonus : Eligible employees can earn an additional $2.00 - $2.50 per hour for all hours worked in a week when production, quality, and on-time delivery targets are met. Bonus eligibility is determined by employment status at the time of payout.

Monday - Thursday : 6am - 4 : 30pmFriday : 6am - 2 : 30pmSaturday (as needed) : 6am - 11 : 30amCandidates must be able to work up to 6 days per week with Saturdays scheduled on an as-needed basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Working under the direction of a group leader.Continually maintaining a clean and safe working environment.Following written and verbal instructions.Identifying and labeling received metal goods.Updating the inventory system prior to moving items to assigned warehouse locations.Operating a sit-down propane forklift and other machinery to move goods safely throughout facility and warehousing.Complying with Disaster preparedness and Emergency Procedures.Following ISO type process work instructions and procedures.Actively complying with company safety policies and procedures.Ensuring the highest level of process compliance and accuracy are maintained for all products.QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES :
High School diploma / GED required.Current sit-down propane forklift operation certificate strongly preferred.Demonstrated dependable performance with consistent schedule adherence.Demonstrated willingness to learn additional processes and procedures while executing more complex tasks with precision.Ability to accurately read and utilize tape measures, fabrication blueprints, and parts documentation.Prior experience working in industrial manufacturing is preferred.Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.Ability to work up to 6 days / week with Saturdays being on an as-needed basis.WORKING CONDITIONS :
