Civil Engineer (Transportation Infrastructure) - New Jersey

Akkodis is seeking Civil Engineers with advanced certification (NICET IV or PE) to lead major transportation infrastructure projects, including highways and bridges at multiple locations in New Jersey (Cherry Hill, Morganville, Secaucus, and Toms River). This role involves managing a team of inspectors, overseeing construction activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Salary Range : $90,000-$125,000

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead engineer on-site, acting as the liaison between the client and contractor.
• Supervise a team of 3+ construction managers and inspectors.
• Monitor construction progress, conduct field inspections, and ensure work meets contract requirements.
• Maintain detailed project records, including daily reports, quantities, and contractor activities.
• Lead project meetings and distribute accurate meeting minutes.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and payment applications.
• Coordinate with public agencies and contractors to minimize disruptions.
• Prepare final punch lists and assist with project closeout.
