Skillforce is seeking experienced Residential Form and Finish Carpenters for contract-to-hire opportunities in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of residential projects with the potential to transition into a long-term, permanent position. The anticipated schedule for this role is 40+hours a week, and pay is up to $26 / hr. depending upon experience.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair wooden structures and frameworks, including formwork for concrete.

Perform high-quality finish carpentry work such as trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and molding installation.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

3+ years of residential carpentry experience (form and finish work).

Proficiency with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood materials.

Ability to read and interpret construction documents.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding when needed.

Must have reliable transportation and basic tools.
