We are hiring a SeniorScientist, Scientific Affairs, who will be responsible for the evaluation of scientific literature to support claims substantiation and compliance of products for GPN's global business. This includes identifying and evaluating new ingredients, technologies and products for compliance and efficacy, substantiating marketing claims, and designing and overseeing clinical trials and analyzing the data to evaluate efficacy of products.

Responsibilities

• Perform scientific evaluation of new products, ingredients and technologies to determine viability and application to GPN across various brands and regions.
• Develop and propose substantiated product claims for use on packaging and other marketing materials.
• Monitor current scientific literature for new and emerging information in health and nutrition that can be applied to, or result in, new products or claims.
• Design, manage and implement GPN sponsored clinical studies.
• Design and write appropriate clinical trial protocols, case report forms, investigator brochures, clinical study reports and clinical sections of regulatory documents.
• Analyze and interpret data to develop marketing claims, charts and other scientifically substantiated communications and marketing assets.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to support activities necessary for successful commercialization of clinically researched nutritional products.
• Communicate sound science information (written or oral) within the company and to targeted external groups in order to enhance business initiatives. Serve as the scientific expert to collaborate with various groups within and outside the company to address business needs.
• Assist in activities related to engagement with academic, industry, and regulatory partners
• Attend relevant trade shows and scientific conferences

Education and Training

As the SeniorScientist, you will work across functions within R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Consumer Affairs representing a safety and regulatory perspective within multi-disciplinary internal teams, as well as with external scientists and regulators.

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. The annual salary for IL based employees for this role is $90,000 - $125,000 plus an annual bonus. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
