Test Engineer II (Electric Propulsion)

Description

As an Electric Propulsion Test Engineer II at Impulse, you will develop and execute tests of all electric propulsion hardware at Impulse. You will design and build test chambers and GSE for hardware at all stages of the product life cycle. You will work with hardware engineers to design flight qualification and acceptance test campaigns and be responsible for operating hardware and delivering test results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support test campaigns on electric propulsion hardware including electronics, fluid systems, and engines
• Design and implement test GSE, from basic tooling to brand new facilities
• Operate vacuum chambers, pumps, flow controllers, power supplies, thrust stands, plasma diagnostics, and other electronic test equipment
• Verify hardware for flight via execution and documentation of relevant tests

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
