Responsibilities Hospital-based Operating Room setting Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00 Work includes general OR, bariatrics, ENT, neurology, orthopedic, and urology cases Specialized procedures include total joints, spine, craniotomy, free flaps, cytoreduction, bariatric, and ENT / OMF surgeries Float requirement to units of equivalent or lower acuity One weekend shift per six-week schedule Six on-call shifts per six-week schedule Scrub color is ceil blue Responsibilities include assisting in specialized surgical cases and covering a wide range of operative procedures Completion of pre-start and possible ongoing modules is required, with an average of 12 hours of educational modules Candidate must be comfortable potentially being hired without a direct interview All time-off requests must be submitted with the initial application; no more than 7 days off allowed during 13-week contracts and no time off permitted during the first two weeks First-time travelers will be considered if all experience and licensing requirements are met Requirements Active DC RN license in hand or proof of pending DC license at time of consideration Minimum two years of recent OR RN experience required Current BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred Experience with advanced OR procedures and specialties listed Facility accepts first-time travelers with a minimum of two years' experience Flu vaccination required Two supervisor professional references from the past two years required If returning staff, must have a minimum one-year gap since previous employment at this facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618584.
