Travel Nurse RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - $1,825 per week in Charleston, SC

The nurse will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, from 7 AM to 7 : 30 PM. There is a holiday requirement if the contract falls during that period. A weekend requirement includes 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. The nurse will float within their scope to meet facility needs as necessary. Patient ratios may vary, typically 1 : 1, 1 : 2, or 1 : 3, due to a mixed unit configuration with ICU and stepdown patients. The unit provides intensive and intermediate care to children ages 0-18. It serves patients with various medical and surgical diagnoses, including respiratory complications, trauma, and post-operative care. The facility offers advanced services, such as ECMO, CRRT, renal, and peritoneal dialysis. Pediatric palliative care is also available as needed. Staffing includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries, along with specialized support services. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is a 28-bed unit offering critical care services. This facility is recognized as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility. The position requires ongoing adaptability to unit needs and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
