Job Title : Health & Safety Representative

Location : Washington, DC

Contract Position :

One year, managed by a third-party employer

Pay Rate : $65.00 / hr.

Role Summary

The Health and Safety Representative will oversee safety for construction projects at Georgetown University, focusing on utility systems and equipment upgrades. Key responsibilities include :

Ensuring contractor safety standards meet or exceed client requirements

Leading audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations

Conducting safety inspections and providing workplace safety recommendations

Educating employees on safety protocols and machinery operation

Acting as a liaison with external safety agencies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or related field preferred

4-5 years relevant experience

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar license preferred

Knowledge of OSHA and other safety standards

Strong communication and leadership skills
