POSITION SUMMARY :
This position supports teachers in addressing student behavior instructional needs and medical or health requirements.
The students in this center-based program may need a lot of adultsupport withactivities of daily living and with accessingtheir includes assisting
with clerical tasks student supervision and redirection. Additionally the role involves providing feedback to teachers on individual student performance and needs.
The position may involve riding the bus and providing student supervision on the bus to and from the work site during morning and afternoon bus runs.
Another key responsibility is fostering positive community relations with all stakeholders.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :
High school graduate or equivalent.
Bachelors degree (preferred).
Bilingual (preferred).
English fluency will be determined through the interview process.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS :
Valid Colorado Drivers License.
Current First Aid and CPR (or obtained within first 60 days of employment).
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS :
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Occasional jogging / running.
Frequent lifting ten (10) to twenty (20) pounds.
Occasional lifting of up to one hundred-fifty (150) pounds with assistance.
Frequent sitting bending walking standing stooping kneeling squatting and reaching.
Following employment offer / acceptance : Ongoing employment is conditional upon successful clearance of job related medical form (STU11).
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Mostly clean and comfortable in the classroom.
May encounter noise odors or body fluids.
May be exposed to potential physical hazards when assisting students on and off the bus.

SALARY :
Starting hourly rate is between $20.25 and $22.92 per hour based upon education and prior related experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
New hires or rehires will be responsible for the fingerprint processing fee required for background checks through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
