Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff : Special Education Teacher in the vicinity of the White Bear Lake, MN .

We're currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher ($45-55 / hr)  to support students in an elementary special education classroom  in the White Bear Lake, MN area .

  • This position is available immediately through winter break
  • You'll serve a caseload of between 18-22 kids in an elementary special education resource classroom
  • The class consists of kids with all disabilities as well as some students that may have needs in the areas of behavior, executive functioning or regulation in addition to academic needs

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education
  • MN Special Educator Teaching License, Tier 3 or 4
  • Role Overview :

    As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

    Job Details :

  • Schedule :  Full-time, Mon-Fri, in accordance with the school calendar
  • Dates : ASAP through winter break, extension possible
  • Hours : 7 : 15a-3 : 15p
  • In-person only
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP Goals
  • Support in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEP
  • Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their students
  • Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and / or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans
