Job Summary :

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Platform Security Data Science team. This role will focus on identifying issues around fraud, cheating, player interactions, trust, and safety while collaborating with various teams to create a safe environment for gamers.

Responsibilities :

Advance Machine Learning capabilities in Platform Security and partner with other data practitioners across the greater Blizzard Entertainment organization.

Develop a portfolio of Machine Learning products and work closely with engineers to help improve the platform to leverage more AI and Machine Learning services.

Engineer robust data pipelines to support feature engineering and visualization of data.

Make generative AI applications that deliver business values.

Build solutions to deploy, automate, and maintain models seamlessly on production systems.

Architect platform-level solutions for machine learning systems.

Communicate machine learning models and products to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives and game team leadership.

Be a part of the wider machine learning community within Blizzard to share ideas and learnings.

Qualifications : Required :

A minimum of 5 years hands on experience developing machine learning models at scale.

Masters or PhD with a specialization in deep learning, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, statistics, applied math, algorithm design, or a related field.

Expertise in statistics, data engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Capable of building scalable and performant endpoints and services.

Experience with ML Ops and model monitoring.

Expert proficiency with SQL and Python.

Is current with industry advancements in generative AI to drive innovation.

Experience with version control, database architecture, and cloud services (GCP / Azure).

Strong problem-solving as well as solid written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred :

Experience in building and deploying generative AI systems in real-world applications.

A proven track record of original contributions to machine learning or statistics.

Able to invent and prototype novel machine learning algorithms from scratch.

Hands-on experience with DBT, Databricks, Big Query, or similar tools.

Experience with Blizzard Entertainment games.
