As a Product Security Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of cutting-edge developer tools and cloud-based applications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices throughout the entire product lifecycle, from design to deployment. This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution, giving you the opportunity to define security frameworks, identify vulnerabilities, and shape long-term security initiatives. Accountabilities :
- Serve as the primary product security advocate, providing expert guidance across all new and existing product initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct comprehensive product security assessments and identify potential risks.
- Define and implement secure design principles, patterns, and practices across distributed systems, APIs, and cloud environments.
- Lead critical security projects from inception through successful delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Coordinate with external security vendors and manage partnerships as needed.
- Investigate, triage, and escalate security incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Continuously monitor emerging trends in cloud security, authentication, and identity management to proactively enhance security posture.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Security Engineer within a cloud or SaaS environment.Strong expertise in performing security design reviews for complex distributed systems and APIs.Proficient with common security controls, libraries, and methodologies applicable to modern cloud platforms.Hands-on experience conducting security-focused code reviews, particularly in TypeScript or similar languages.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and educate cross-functional teams.Strategic mindset combined with the ability to execute on tactical initiatives.Bonus points for experience in authentication, identity management, or implementing security features at scale.Bonus : Background in full-stack or backend software development.Benefits
