Tupper Lake Center is seeking a PRN or Part Time Speech Language Pathologist / SLP- CCC for their in-house rehab program.

  • Located at : 114 Wawbeek Ave, Tupper Lake, NY 12986
  • 42 beds

Our Living Center is a fully certified and accredited long-term care facility staffed with physicians, nurses, aides, and other medical and health professionals, working together to ensure residents' needs are met – no matter the time of day or night.

Our caring and attentive staff meets with all new residents and their families within the first week to develop an individualized Care Plan that meet each person's unique needs and interests. This close personal attention enables the Care Teams to design a resident-centered care and activity plan that encourages participation in activities and services that are most beneficial.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct patient assessments to determine speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Provide speech therapy services to patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders and treatment options
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience in critical care, acute care, or pediatric settings is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy related to speech and language disorders
  • Familiarity with ICU procedures and protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to patient care
