Job descriptionProvide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers, and in hospital consults Admit and co-manage with Intensivist support adult patients in critical care 24 / 7 Pulm / Critical Care support for all CC admissions Manage patients in Clinical Decision Unit 24 hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of an in-house Radiology physician 24 / 7 No call required 7 on / 7 off rotation for days and 12 shifts per month for nights Competitive compensation package with productivity bonus Paid interviewing expenses $100,000 Signing bonus package Paid malpractice and tail coverage PSLF eligible employer CME and licensure fee allowance Comprehensive benefits package One of the largest not-for-profit tertiary referral centers in Alabama serving over 600,000 within a 75-mile radius 420 licensed bed facility 3,000+ dedicated employees 400+ active Medical Staff 16 member Anesthesia group and 30 CRNA's provide 24 / 7 in-house coverage 22 OR suites with 2 Endovascular suites and open heart suites Level 2 trauma center with EM residency trained physicians 1 of only 3 comprehensive stroke centers in Alabama with a dedicated lab for Cerebrovascular procedures 32-bed medical ICU Interventional cardiology, EP and radiology labs, lithotripsy, 3 MRIs (1 3- T), 3 CTs including a 64 slice CT and PET Scanner Robust IM Hospitalist program provides ED unassigned coverage, care for transfers, and inpatient consults The regions only facility offering TAVR, EP Cardiology, and Watchman procedures Pain Management and Physiatry services provided through outpatient clinics on Southeast Health campus Comprehensive cancer network with clinics in Dothan, Enterprise, AL and Marianna, FL UAB Cancer Center affiliate The Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) is Alabamas first Osteopathic medical school and the first in the U.S. to be developed by a regional medical center ACGME Internal Medicine Residency program as well as Transitional Year program Ranked small city for doctors by AdvisorSmith One of the Top 10 fastest growing cities in Alabama and is currently the 7 th largest city in the state Less than 100 miles to the Emerald Coast beaches of Florida Average annual temperature is 66 degrees F Cost of living index is 92.8 vs national average of 100 Dothan Regional Airport serviced by Delta Air Lines Over 20 miles of outdoor trails with nearby lakes and rivers Hosts a Robert Trent Jones Golf Course out of the Highland Oaks with other public and private golf courses and driving ranges nearby Ranked 10th in the country for the number of restaurants per square capita Recognized as a Playful City with 19 parks, 6 public swimming pools, a water park, and 47 tennis courts including a 20-court complex built to professional standards Medical hub of the Southeast, providing a plethora of specialty medical care options at 2 local hospitals and numerous private clinics
Job Description
- Hospital-employed Hospitalist group seeks additional Internal Medicine residency trained physicians to join a robust, rapidly growing practice as a Hospitalist.
- 420-bed regional referral center in Dothan, Alabama and it manages its own Hospitalist program.
- The current practice includes more than 25 full-time, board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians.
- Daily, 12 physicians work the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift and 3 physicians cover the 7 p.m.' 7 a.m. shift.
- We have an opening for either daytime or Nocturnist shifts.
