Coding Specialist – OB / GYN

This is a remote position We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented OB / GYN Coding Specialist to join our remote coding team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience coding for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health , including primary care services, psychiatric and nurse practitioner visits, surgical procedures, and global maternity packages .

This position requires a coder who is resourceful, organized, and driven to maintain high accuracy and compliance standards.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years of physician-based coding experience , with a strong background in OB / GYN and related women’s health services Proficiency in coding E / M (Evaluation & Management) services for primary care, psychiatry, and nurse practitioner visits Demonstrated experience coding OB global packages, deliveries, gynecologic surgeries, and related procedures Comprehensive understanding of OB / GYN terminology , anatomy, and physiology Knowledge of payer-specific billing guidelines and global obstetric package rules Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, multiple EHRs, and internet research) Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment Athena experience preferred Key Responsibilities : Accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for OB / GYN services including : Obstetric care : prenatal, antepartum, delivery, postpartum, and global packages Gynecologic surgeries : hysterectomy, laparoscopy, endometrial ablation, etc.
