Are you a seasoned leader in biomedical engineering ready to take charge of a high-impact clinical engineering program? A leading healthcare facility in Zanesville, OH is seeking a Director of Clinical Engineering to ensure operational excellence, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance—all while advancing patient safety and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of the clinical engineering program, including compliance, team leadership, and quality assurance
  • Manage and mentor a team of supervisors and technicians
  • Oversee maintenance, calibration, and repair schedules for clinical equipment
  • Streamline service delivery processes and implement operational improvements
  • Collaborate with clinical and executive stakeholders to align technology with patient care needs
  • Manage departmental budgets, vendor contracts, and equipment lifecycle planning

    Requirements

    Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certifications : CBET, CHTM, or similar credentials preferred
  • Experience :
  • 5+ years overseeing biomedical services in large-scale healthcare settings
  • Strong background in regulatory standards (CIHQ, DNV, JCAHO)
  • Proven success working with executive leadership on clinical initiatives
  • Technical Skills :
  • Expertise in medical equipment maintenance, repairs, and capital planning
  • Proficiency in budget oversight and vendor negotiations
  • Soft Skills : Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities
