About The Position

Job Title : First Assist Technician (CSFA)

Location : Hendersonville, NC

Department : Operating Room

Shift : 10-hour Days

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift Details : 10-hour day shifts (06 : 45 AM – 05 : 15 PM)

Work Week : 40 hours guaranteed

Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) with a strong orthopedic background to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment. The CSFA will provide first assist support in a high-volume operating room environment, primarily covering orthopedic, spine, urology, endoscopy, and general surgery cases.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist surgeons during surgical procedures in the OR, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes

Attend daily morning huddles at 06 : 45 AM

Participate in weekly staff meetings (4th week of every month)

Adhere to facility’s credentialing and compliance requirements

Manage on-call responsibilities as scheduled (weekends approximately every 6 weeks and one weeknight per week)

Perform assigned tasks with resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit

Requirements : Certifications :

CSFA Certification (NBSTSA) – REQUIRED

BLS Certification (AHA) – REQUIRED

Experience :

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in trauma-level orthopedic surgical assistance

Completion of at least 2 prior travel assignments (3 preferred)

Experience with total joints, orthopedic surgeries, spine, urology, endoscopy, and general surgery

No heart or brain surgery experience required

Other :

Strong work ethic, resilience, and ability to manage change effectively

Social and team-oriented personality
