Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with trauma and Epic experience for a night shift Emergency Department position in Oregon, requiring an active OR license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in a Level I Trauma Center emergency department at a teaching hospitalCare for adult and pediatric trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, sepsis, and complex casesNurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1 : 3-4Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, either 17 : 00–05 : 30 or 19 : 00–07 : 30Weekend shifts are requiredFloat assignments may include other units within the same hospitalEpic used for charting; Epic experience requiredResponsibilities include assessment, coordination, and implementation of emergency interventions, including moderate / deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveriesMust be able to effectively care for patients with alcohol / drug abuse or complex medical conditionsScrubs provided; no print scrubs permittedReturn staff must have not worked at the facility in the past 6 monthsModules and online onboarding must be completed before start dateMaximum of 1 week of requested time off will be consideredLocal candidates accepted at the same rateFirst-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 1 year of travel experience and recent Epic experienceRequirements
Active OR RN license required or proof of submitted application with state boardMinimum 2 years recent emergency department RN experienceRecent Epic charting experience requiredTrauma nursing experience requiredCertifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required; TNCC preferredCOVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptionsTwo supervisor references from the past 24 months required (or from the past 3-5 years if not possible)No prior background or license disciplinary actions consideredBenefits
