Job DescriptionThe Product Manager is accountable for achieving profit and growth targets for assigned state(s) / region or line(s) of business. The Product Manager designs, develops, manages, and leads strategies, initiatives, and people using product, pricing, and risk management knowledge to achieve business goals. The Product Manager leads the analytical evaluation of product and underwriting strategies and plans across the state management team.Key Responsibilities : Ownership of P&L for assigned state(s) / region or line(s) of business.Leads the formulation of topline and bottom-line strategies using data and analytics to achieve business objectives.Analyze data to assess early detection of trends, developing actionable insights and to inform decisions on pricing and risk management guidelines. This includes developing new insights and understanding of business performance based on exploratory analytics.Proactively leads the identification, development, execution, and post-implementation evaluation of strategies to address challenges and maximize opportunities.Manages competitive landscape analysis to inform rate, risk management guidelines and product decisions.Communicates and coordinates state and product efforts with IT, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial, and other areas both within the division and throughout the enterprise.Ensures product and risk management policies are compliant with state specific regulations; provides regulatory / market conduct exam support as needed.Analyzes data and implements product changes in order to meet expectations for profitability, conservation, refinement and geographic expansion of existing business and implementation of any new product structures.Works with product analyst resources to drive business growth and profitability.Experience
