What you will do here :
Manage the sales staff and technical specialists in Oregon and Washington, including reviewing pipelines, strategic development, and mentoring of new salespeopleCollaborate with technical teams to ensure both customers and sales staff have available technical resources.Coach and support salespeople in developing, driving, and closing new business opportunities.Be the face of EandM at roadshows and workshops. This is a public facing position - you will be recognized in the industry.Utilize our company CRM and use it to monitor sales activity, look for trends, and develop new markets.Practical Considerations
This role needs to be based near either the Portland or Seattle metro areas. (We have sales staff based in both.)This role will require regular travel throughout the region, both to meet with your staff and with customers. Occasional travel to California or elsewhere in the country is also required.This role will have 5-7 direct reports and will report to the Director of Sales.Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a technical field5+ years in automation sales, with preferably 2+ years of management experience.Track record for setting and reaching sales targetsKnowledge of factory automation and an understanding of the Pacific Northwest marketWillingness to learn and grow with our culture and sales methodologyWillingness and ability to take full ownership of any challengeExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to motivate, train, and develop a sales teamBenefits :
This is a base plus commission structured position.
Base salary of $125,000, commission structure between $15,000-$35,000. Total compensation of $140,000-$160,000 when on target.

20 days of PTO to start, with an additional 10 office closures throughout the year.
