Job Summary :

The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing assistance in the preparation and serving of food to residents as well as cleaning food service areas, equipment, and utensils.

Essential Duties :

Prepare resident trays according to instructions and diet order.

Assist in preparation and portioning of meal items according to menu and diet requirements.

Cover, date, label leftovers and open items properly.

Use proper food handling techniques in preparation of food and setting up or serving trays.

Clean, wash, and sanitize dishes, silverware, and utensils using correct method.

Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dishwashing area.

Clean work area and equipment as assigned.

Put up stock in food storage areas, including dry storage, freezers, and refrigerators, as assigned.

Deliver food, nourishments, and supplies to nursing units and other areas as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in dietary department, large volume food preparation and service preferred.

Job Type : Part time

Expected Hours :

typically 8 hour shifts on days as needed (subject to change to align with needs of dietary department)

Some type of food industry experience (Preferred)

Servsafe certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute or Relocate :

Granite City, IL 62040 before starting work (Preferred)
