AIDS Healthcare Foundation Research Associate
A Research Associate contributes to AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) by conducting research in clinical trials, device trials, prospective cohort studies, interventional studies, and laboratory research for the Public Health Division Research team involved in HIV and STI testing, treatment, and HIV and STI prevention.
The duties include HIPAA compliant participant recruitment, enrollment, engagement, specimen collection, and processing. This role requires phlebotomy skills, participant swabbing as needed, participating in initiatives like administering vaccinations to the population in need and performing moderately complex testing procedures for HIV and STIs. The Research Associate needs to ensure compliance of all protocols and ethical standards when working on a study.
The Research Associate is also responsible for administrative duties in relation to these research studies including monitoring inventory, packing and shipping logistics, documenting enrolled participants, and creating spreadsheets for tracking various aspects of the studies.
The Research Associate should be well versed with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for participant records, and enrollment by navigating through the electronic health record system, and other online portals as needed for patient chart reviews and data entry.
The Research Associate is an hourly non-exempt in person position in Los Angeles and will be directly reporting to the Research Program Manager. This role may involve some travel to other AHF sites as needed.
Education and Experience :
