Responsibilities Work in a 90-bed community hospital, floating as needed across Med / Surg and Telemetry units Patient population includes medical and surgical patients with telemetry monitoring needs Patient ratios are generally 1 : 6-7 Must be able to interpret personal telemetry strips Expected to perform IV starts and care due to absence of an IV team Charting is done using Paragon EMR Scheduled for 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM Every other weekend is required Proctored EKG exam administered on Day 1 of contract Must be willing to float to different units as assigned Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty during the assignment COVID vaccine is not required, but documentation or declination may be provided Team members must pass a proctored EKG exam on the first day Night shift role with every other weekend commitment Requirements Active New York State RN license required Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg Tele RN experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start At least 6 continuing education hours (CEUs) on stroke-related topics required before starting IV experience required Ability to interpret telemetry strips independently Travel nursing experience preferred Flu vaccine or signed declination required; mask mandate applies if declining Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626044.
