Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing law enforcement and security services for the campus community.
There are multiple open positions.

Responsibilities
Maintains responsibility for security and safety of persons and property. (60%)
Identifies potential security and safety hazards.
Patrols campus on foot and in a vehicle to detect and deter criminal activity, parking violations, and traffic violations.
Responds to routine and emergency calls for service. Provides traffic direction and escorts as needed.
Assists motorists as needed.
Provides first aid and CPR to victims as necessary.
Apprehends, arrests, and processes offenders.
Fills in for emergency dispatcher as needed.
Provides various types of public service and assistance to the campus community.
Is a source of information and direction to the campus community.
May assist with training other personnel in department policies, practices, methods, and techniques of their jobs.
Provides security and maintenance of campus buildings. (20%)
Assists with securing and unlocking buildings daily.
Assists with checking campus emergency equipment including fire extinguishers, AEDs, etc.
Identifies safety and security issues and follows appropriate reporting procedure.
Assists with investigations and maintains required documentation. (15%)
Completes all required reports and forms including accident and incident forms and student injury reports as well as others.
Collects, processes, and submits evidence and property.
Conducts preliminary and follow-up investigations of crimes and other offenses against persons and property.
Prepares for and testifies in judicial and campus proceedings.
Performs related duties. (5%)
