Job Title : Travel Respiratory Therapist (Day Shift) Location : Riverview Medical Center, Carthage, TN Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM Contract Type : Travel Assignment Duration : 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)

Job Summary : Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at Riverview Medical Center in Carthage, Tennessee. This is a critical access hospital setting where the therapist will play a vital role in providing high-quality respiratory care across emergency and critical care environments. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and deliver safe, effective care to patients with diverse respiratory needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians
  • Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis
  • Provide respiratory support in ER and critical care settings
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

    • Must Have Skills / Experience :

  • Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital setting
  • Comfortable being the only Respiratory Therapist on shift
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in ER and critical care settings
  • Required Certifications :
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
