Dispatcher

Staffmark is hiring for a Dispatcher - Day Shift in Stockton, CA, where you will be working for the industry leader in transportation.

Pay : $21 per hour

Hours : 6am - 6pm, Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday

Essential Duties :

• Work within a team-driven atmosphere to meet deadlines and provide great service to clients.
• Scheduling and dispatching about 100 to 150 drivers roughly to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs.
• Providing shipping details to customers
• Relaying accurate information to necessary parties via phone and email
• Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, and requests for services.
• Preparing daily work related to schedules, shipments, and / or invoices.
• Assist in preparing work orders / dispatch sheets for drivers.
• Using Excel and other applications as needed
• Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records, and other information.

Requirements for this position include having 2 years of recent dispatch experience working with DOT compliance and scheduling drivers. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent communication, clerical, and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes, and personnel. Must have knowledge of computers for scheduling, data entry, the ability to multitask, work well under stress, and the ability to remain calm during rapidly changing circumstances. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time during the entire shift.
