Job description

Job Summary :

The Programmer Analyst – Full Stack Developer will play a key role in modernizing the legacy IT applications used by the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) . These applications support compliance, security, registration, and responsible gaming management across the state. The modernization effort aims to replace end-of-life systems with modern, scalable technologies , ensuring operational reliability and long-term support for critical state functions. Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust full-stack applications using modern frameworks and cloud-ready architectures.
  • Collaborate with UI / UX designers, DevOps engineers, testers, and business analysts to deliver efficient, maintainable solutions.
  • Ensure clean code, consistent architecture, and adherence to state development standards.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies , sprint planning, code reviews, and DevOps deployment cycles.
  • Contribute to documentation, testing, and release management for production-ready systems.

Required Experience :

  • years of hands-on experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or .
  • years of experience with .NET C development .
  • years of SQL Server experience , including stored procedures and performance optimization.
  • Nice-to-Have Experience :

  • Experience developing within government or regulated environments .
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS).
  • Understanding of CI / CD pipelines , automated testing, and code quality practices.
  • Required Skills :

  • .NET (C) development
