About The Position

Title : Certified Surgical First Assistant.

Location : Springfield, OR 97477

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 3x12 Days (07 : 00 AM – 07 : 00 PM), with call every 3rd–4th night and every 2nd–3rd weekend

Job Responsibilities :

• Provide surgical first assist support across a wide variety of procedures including Orthopedic, General, Urology, ENT, OB / GYN, GI, and Trauma cases.
• Assist surgeons intraoperatively with tasks such as suturing, vessel ligation, and wound closure.
• Work in both inpatient and outpatient OR settings with a diverse patient population (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics).
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain aseptic technique and ensure patient safety.
• Participate in cases involving general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, urology, ENT, trauma, and endoscopic procedures.
• Expected to float to other units as needed.
• Call is required per schedule.
