- Duties : - Should be facile with independently working up and reporting complex cancer resections, including use of staging templates; Coverage of frozen sections and fine needle assessments of thyroid & pulmonary cases. - Daily SP signout is a general signout of GI, liver, GYN, GU, and mass-directed CT-guided biopsies, and complex cancer resections from nearly all organ systems.
- Required Procedures : - Surgical Pathology (GI & GU Pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Interpretation of bone marrow aspirate / bx, Pediatric tumor pathology) - Cytololgy, Grossing or cutting frozen section, Hematolgy, Microbiolgy, Chemistry / Serology, Blood bank.

- Other Info : - A Pathologist Assistant is on site daily for grossing & other lab maintenance, and on rare occasion, the pathologist will be required to gross in the PA's absence.
