Volunteers get to make their own schedule!
Our Non-medical Hospice Direct Care Volunteer provides support to patients living with a terminal illness, in addition to their caregivers and family. Support is provided in a variety of ways, including companionship, socialization, and caregiver relief. There is no medical background needed - our Hospice volunteers do not interact with the patient in any medical or personal hygiene capacity (i.e., volunteers do not give baths, get the patient in / out of bed, or to / from the bathroom, give medication).
