About The Position

Certifications : Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years, preferred advanced practice certifications

Description :
The Clinical Staff / Ambulatory Pharmacist provides comprehensive patient care services through inpatient pharmacy functions.
This includes order entry and verification, medication checking, dispensing, and other pertinent tasks that ensure safe and effective use of medications.
The Pharmacist may also rotate into ambulatory roles, such as anticoagulation clinic services or oncology.
The Clinical Staff / Ambulatory Pharmacist will be involved in patient care activities supporting a variety of patient populations, ranging from geriatrics to pediatrics.
Knowledge of all current state and federal laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy is essential.
The ability to positively interact with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, providers, nurses, and other health system employees is required.
This position receives minimal supervision from the Pharmacy Manager and Supervisors.
Holiday coverage is required.
