Job description

GQR Healthcare is seeking a LPN / LVN Correctional for a local contract job in Cleveland, Texas.

Start Dates :   Orientations are on the Weekend once the traveler is cleared by credentialing and cleared by TGCJ (State)

Orientation Dates :

December 6th & 7th - Beaumont Office - Beaumont TX

Completed Profiles and CLP Due on : Nov 17

Must be able to work around and on the holidays. 36 / 48 rotating shifts

Orientation is held in Conroe, Gatesville, or Beaumont but they will work at whichever facility they accepted the offer.

Length :   13 weeks but will be continuous employment. (aka extensions)

Shift : Nights

Hours per week :   36 / 48 Weekly Rotation

  • IMPORTANT : Monthly schedules are subject to change and rotations are NOT guaranteed. Scheduling is NOT done at the unit level.
  • Work week is Saturday – Friday, this is how OT is calculated

    • OT :  Is available contingent on  performance

  • Based on :
  • Call-ins
  • Punctuality
  • Unexcused absences
  • Cannot have 5 or more consecutive shifts (this will not be approved.)

    • Cap at 60 hours total or 20 hours OT.

    Float Requirements :   Will be asked to float as needed.  They will float to different units that are within 10 - 30 minutes of each other.  They would be compensated through the facility for a drive time of up to 30 minutes with a punch correction.

  • Nurses could be floated or diverted within 50 miles of the unit they are assigned to work with
  • Rarely transferred mid-shift but could be
  • Miles to / from home is not considered
  • Refusal to float or divert they are DNR
  • Google Maps is their friend! Satellite view
  • Their home base (where they live) is not considered

    • Certs :   BLS

    License :   Compact  or  Texas RN

  • State Licensure Website : For Texas LVN licensure information, visit the Texas Board of Nursing

    • Experience :

  • Min 1 year Med Surg Acute experience required, with 2 years of LVN experience

    • Nursing Requirements Direct from Client :

  • Thick-skinned
  • Independent
  • Does not participate in internal issues and gossip
  • Successful in a fast-paced environment

    • COVID Vaccine Requirement :   Required - takes exemptions

    $200 Bonus after completing the Modules + $950 weekly Untaxed Stipend!
