Job Description

MRI Technologist - 12-Hour Shifts

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position. The MRI Technologist will perform imaging procedures at a technical level and meet the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specified age range within their assigned clinical area. The role requires knowledge of the Magnetic Resonance imaging process and adherence to prescribed safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provides protection to patients and personnel in accordance with safety standards.
  • Prepares and positions patients for Magnetic Resonance procedures; thoroughly explains exams and answers patients' questions.
  • Performs MRI procedures, including neuro, body, and extremity, following protocols set by a Radiologist.
  • Conducts venous access on all patients requiring IV contrast administration as directed.
  • Enters necessary data into Radiology Imaging Systems and processes images as necessary.
  • Performs quality control tests on equipment and reports any irregularities.
  • Acts as a liaison within Radiology, providing support to physicians and referring issues to the Team Leader.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body.
  • Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certified Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

  • Friday : 10 AM - 10 PM
  • Saturday / Sunday : 7 AM - 7 PM
  • Monday : 10 AM - 10 PM
