deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced Application Administrator in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description

deciBel Research is seeking an Application Administrator to be the primary administration and maintenance contact for a stack of cloud-based software development tools in production, test and disaster recovery environments. The Application Administrator will be working with a subcontractor to upgrade and apply security patches to the cloud-based solution, and lead in disaster recovery to include cleaning up data spillage, should it occur.

The Application Administrator will act as the primary IT / Security contact for troubleshooting any issues with the applications, perform all needed maintenance, manage user accounts, and reconfigure and implement features as future needs arise. The Application Administrator will also work with the IT staff and the Cybersecurity staff in auditing security logs for the solution.

Some extended and / or off-nominal work hours may be required occasionally.

Education Requirements :
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Technology, or similar; 4 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree.

Experience Requirements

This position required 5-10 years of applicable experience.

Experience with Linux operating systems, including scripting experience, is required.

Experience with Windows operating system is required.

Experienced with DISA STIGs.

Related networking (TCP / IP, DNS, HTTPS, SSH).

Ability to work and excel in a team-oriented collaborative environment.

Must have, or obtain within 6 months of hire, CompTIA Security+ and work toward Security+ CE.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.

Good problem-solving skills.

Special Skills Desired

Agile Software Development experience.

Experience with cloud computing infrastructure.

Knowledge of DoD security standards.

Experience with Ansible scripting.

Familiarity with Amazon Web Services.

Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) Special Publication 800-37 and DOD 8510.01 policies and procedures.
