This employee will perform as a bus driver, safely transporting student from home to school to home, on field trips and perform a variety of clerical duties associated with Transportation operations.

Job Summary :

• maintain route schedule
• supervise students who ride the bus; maintain discipline and report undisciplined students to the principal / s
• discharge students only at authorized stops and transport only authorized students
• assist student passengers with school baggage as needed
• regulate heating and ventilating systems for passenger comfort
• comply with local traffic regulations and observe all mandatory safety regulations
• report delays or accidents
• clean the interior of the bus regularly
• inspect bus and check gas, oil, water, brakes, etc., before departure and report any needed repairs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to site; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; use feet and legs to operate vehicle pedals; drive / ride the vehicle; and talk or hear. The employee must have full range of vision. On occasion the employee is required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste or smell.
