Job description

Corporate Compliance Analyst

At Regions, the Corporate Compliance Analyst is a second line of defense risk management function that ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining a program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules that govern a specific line of business. Associates at this level are expected to contribute to work-flow or process change and redesign, and to form a strong, basic understanding of the specific product or process within a specific line of business. Focus is on execution within defined parameters, with some expansion based on developing capabilities and / or experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains a proficient knowledge of rules and regulations and their impact on products, services, and operations for a specific line of business
  • Establishes line of business partnerships and serves as a subject matter expert to the business groups on issues related to compliance
  • Conducts research of laws and regulations that impact compliance to include monitoring for new laws and regulations or changes to existing laws and regulations and providing communication to appropriate lines of business which will be impacted by these changes
  • Administers a monitoring and testing program to ensure effective compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Gathers information requested by regulatory agencies
  • May provide advice and guidance to junior associates on occasion

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in compliance, quality assurance / control, audit, or other related compliance function specific to a line of business
  • Or High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience in compliance, quality assurance / control, audit, or other related compliance function specific to a line of business
  • Preferences

  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
  • Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
  • Ability to work under moderate guidance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Perform compliance model oversight activities
  • Review highly complex quantitative models that may pose elevated compliance risk, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) approaches
  • Use quantitative and analytical techniques to review models for fairness, bias, and other elements related to key regulations
  • Understand key regulations related to model and compliance risks
  • Assist in developing and delivering Compliance training materials
  • Assist in reviewing and editing Compliance standards, procedures, and templates

    Compensation Details

    Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include : experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

    Job Range Target :

    Minimum : $66,375.65 USD

    Median : $85,210.00 USD

    Incentive Pay Plans : This job is not incentive eligible.
