Key Job Details – Med / Surg Tele RN Job Title : Med / Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment Location : Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (Upstate New York healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Resource Pool, Float Duration : 16 weeks (potential extension available) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : March 8, 2026 Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 Schedule : Every other weekend; 2 out of 3 major holidays required Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100 - $2250 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York RN license or proof of application (required for NY nursing jobs) Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience, including 1 year in Med / Surg Telemetry American Heart Association BLS certification (required) NIH Stroke Scale certification (required prior to start) CMSRN certification preferred Recent Epic EMR experience (within past 2 years) Ability to float between units (R5, R6, R7, other telemetry units, and ED Hold) Reliable personal or rental transportation (public transit not available) Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry hospital setting Float between multiple units, including ED Hold and Resource Pool, as scheduled Care for diverse patient populations : Med Surg Oncology, Orthopedics, Urology, and ALC Perform clinical procedures : IVs, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, glucose monitoring Document patient care using Epic EMR system Collaborate with CNAs, PCTs, unit clerks, and respiratory therapists Follow hospital policies, including dress code (navy blue & white scrubs), grooming, and jewelry guidelines Participate in a 1-day orientation and bi-weekly onboarding as needed Work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) Join our healthcare team in Plattsburgh, NY, and enjoy a supportive hospital environment, excellent travel nurse benefits, and the beauty of upstate New York.
