Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults only (100%) Patient Volume / Census : 515 inpatient per day Admissions : Avg. 5 per day Rounding : Required on weekends Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Urology cases including cystoscopy, vasectomy, lithotripsy, stents, hydroceles Avg. Consults : 58 per day Trauma Level : Level II EMR System : Cerner and Epic; Profee for inpatient billing Specialty Backup Available : None, provider works solo Support Staff : APPs available Reason for Coverage : Other (vacancy / coverage need) No. of Beds in Department : 0 reported Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : No Credentialing Timeline : 60 days Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered (Mileage, Lodging, Parking, Rental Car & Fuel, Ground Transportation) Flights discouraged; local or driving candidates preferred REQUIRED PROCEDURES Cystoscopy Vasectomy Lithotripsy Stent placement Hydrocele procedures Licenses : Active Pennsylvania license (IMLC in hand accepted) Board : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology DEA : Active DEA certification required Certifications : BLS required (clinic); ACLS not required for hospital / OR work Experience : Minimum 5 years in specialty Other Qualifications : Must be local within 33.5 hours driving distance Provide inpatient and outpatient urology care during clinic and call coverage Perform required rounding, consults, admissions, and urologic procedures Manage both scheduled clinic visits and emergency inpatient needs Participate in one week of coverage per year in addition to monthly weekend coverage Utilize Cerner and Epic EMR systems effectively Assume leadership roles or managerial responsibilities in interim positions or short-term assignments, honing your leadership skills and management expertise. Avoid the hassle of permanent relocation by taking on temporary assignments in various locations, experiencing different communities without long-term commitment. Navigate career transitions or specialty changes with greater ease by gaining exposure to different practice settings and patient populations through locum work. Tailor patient care approaches to individual needs and preferences, free from institutional protocols or constraints, fostering patient-centered care and satisfaction. Transition between full-time, part-time, or locum roles as your personal or professional circumstances evolve, maintaining career fluidity and adaptability.

- 1 weekend per month (12 weekends per year), Friday Monday
- 6 weekends per year must include extended coverage : ThursSun or FriMon
