Job Title : Permanent Registered Nurse Float

Location : Coos Bay, OR

Rate : $45.00 $70.00 / hour + Full Benefits

Shift Notes : Varied Shift 8-80 / / 80-hours per two-week pay period

Position Summary :

As a Float Registered Nurse (RN) , you will deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care across various departments within the hospital. Utilizing critical thinking, clinical skills, and sound judgment, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients. This is a dynamic role requiring adaptability and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide direct patient care within RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.

Educate patients and their families / significant others on treatments and recovery.

Accurately document all care provided in the electronic medical record.

Collaborate with the care team to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans.

Respond promptly and effectively to patient emergencies.

Maintain flexibility to float between units based on staffing needs.

Exhibit strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Maintain professional, timely, and effective communication.

Attend and participate in regular training, meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications :

Licensure : Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon Required

Certifications : BLS (AHA) Required

ACLS (AHA) Required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire

Experience :

Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience Required

Recent (within past 5 years) acute care hospital experience Preferred

Progressive or intermediate care experience Preferred

Additional Skills :

Effective teaching and patient education skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in EMR systems and general computer use.

Dependable and punctual with excellent attendance.
