Configuration Manager (Hybrid)

The Configuration Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and controlling the configuration management process for IT systems and services. This role ensures that all IT assets, baselines, and configuration items (CIs) are accurately identified, documented, tracked, and managed throughout their lifecycle. The Configuration Manager plays a key role in supporting change management, incident / problem resolution, asset accountability, and compliance reporting by maintaining integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

• Defining and documenting the configuration items (CIs) within the IT environment, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Coordinating changes to configuration items to ensure that only authorized modifications are implemented.
• Conducting audits and verifications to ensure that the configuration items are correctly implemented and maintained.
• Coordinating changes to the IT environment to minimize disruption and ensure that changes are properly tested and documented.
• Supporting the government with change and release management of new or updated software and hardware components, ensuring proper testing and deployment.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of configuration items and providing regular reports on the status and performance of the IT environment.
• Automatically provisioning and de-provisioning virtual machines, storage, and network components based on demand, while leading the development of infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Streamlining application and update deployments using automation tools to ensure timely and issue-free rollouts.
