CDI-DRG Auditor

A company is looking for a CDI-DRG Validation Auditor to perform documentation and coding reviews in a remote contract position.

Key Responsibilities

Review hospital records to validate the accuracy of coding and ensure appropriate reimbursement

Identify and resolve complex coding discrepancies and write technical rationales for changes

Communicate findings to project leads and maintain confidentiality of protected health information

Required Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of healthcare coding, billing, auditing, and compliance for inpatient and outpatient facilities

Minimum of 5 years of CDI expertise in facility inpatient and outpatient services

Strong knowledge of clinical indicators and coding guidelines

Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record systems

Certification such as CDIP (AHIMA) or CCDS (ACDIS) is required
