Job Title : Information Security Engineer III

Location : Remote USA (EST Working Hours)

Employment Type : W2 - Full-Time

Overview We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer III with deep expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to lead the migration of enterprise identity services from Auth0 to PingFederate and PingDirectory . This role is key to ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable authentication and federation services supporting millions of customer and commercial user identities across the bank's platforms.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing and implementing identity federation, data synchronization processes, and directory migrations in regulated enterprise environments. This engineer will work closely with security architects, engineering teams, and application owners to implement best practices, enhance security posture, and maintain operational excellence.

    • What You'll Do

  • Lead and execute the migration of identity and federation services from Auth0 to PingFederate and PingDirectory.
  • Engineer, optimize, and maintain customer identity & SSO authentication flows .
  • Collaborate with application teams to integrate new authentication capabilities and federation patterns.
  • Define IAM standards , access policies, and best practices for cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Conduct identity-related incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support regulatory audits , compliance reviews, and internal control assessments.
  • Monitor system performance , availability, and failover readiness.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to internal security engineering teams and offshore support partners.
  • Evaluate emerging IAM technologies and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in IAM / Federation Security Engineering .
  • Expert knowledge of PingFederate and PingDirectory , with proven migration experience.
  • Practical experience integrating identity platforms in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments .
  • Strong understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and token lifecycle management .
  • Experience with Unix / Linux environments and scripting (Shell / Python).
  • Experience in regulated financial or enterprise environments is preferred.
  • Security or PingIdentity certifications are a plus (CISSP, Ping Certified, Security+, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with distributed teams.
