Production Scheduler / Planner
Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler / Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for creating, tracking, and reporting the production schedule to meet shipping commitments. The ideal candidate will balance demand, supply, and capacity while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery and efficient production operations.
What You Will Do
- Analyze data from multiple systems and departments, including forecasts, sales orders, inventory, program milestones, lead times, and capacity.
- Assess demand versus supply using ERP systems, Excel, Access, and other standard tools.
- Match workload and equipment capacity with current and projected requirements.
- Develop, publish, and monitor production schedules in coordination with Procurement, Programs, Production, and Contract Manufacturers.
- Communicate schedule status, changes, and potential delays to Customer Service and other stakeholders.
- Identify and address excesses or gaps in capacity or demand; propose actionable solutions.
- Attend relevant meetings to gather real-time updates on assigned programs or production areas.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other planners as needed.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing production scheduling systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data from diverse sources.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelors degree (BA / BS) in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.2-5 years of planning or scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Access is a plus.APICS or ISM coursework or certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM) preferred.Skills We Value

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
