About The Position
We are seeking an Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatric cardiology for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This role begins on Feb 1, 2026, and features both day and night shifts, including consecutive weekday and weekend coverage. The nurse practitioner will collaborate directly with pediatric cardiac intensivists to manage pediatric CVICU patients, coordinate care plans, and cover additional cardiology patients on the pediatric acute floor as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties
Collaborate directly with pediatric and pediatric cardiac intensivists to establish and implement care plans for pediatric CVICU patientsManage new admissions and perform patient rounding with a multidisciplinary teamRespond to frontline calls during assigned shiftsProvide coverage for cardiology patients (typically 2–5) on the pediatric acute floor as neededEnsure high standards of care and adherence to clinical protocolsDocument clinical findings and interventions accuratelyAdditional Information
