The individual should have knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic classification and render appropriate DSV-5 clinical diagnoses. The individual should possess a working knowledge of several therapeutic methods as well as crisis intervention techniques common to an outpatient mental health setting.

Master’s Degree is required either in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university and is preferred (but not required) to have at least three years of paid experience working in the substance abuse or mental health field.

A West Virginia license or immediate eligibility for such license is required along with the appropriate professional license or be eligible for a license. Healthways offers Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental benefits, 401-K, and vacation time.
